ASE was started in August of 1994 by Scott Thomas. He knew back in 1981, while working at Cannon Mills in Kannapolis, NC that he was intended to do something different in life. Scott joined the US Navy in 1982 and went to school for electronics and took every electronics course offered. He served over 5 years in the Navy and had a flawless record and received many citations of accommodation including a Navy Achievement Medal. In 1987 he went to work at Triangle Communications, Inc which was a Motorola Service Shop.
After working there for 7 years, Scott started his own business with the goal of building turn-key police cars. In the summer of 1994 ASE (Automotive and Systems Engineering) was started in a 24 X 26 enclosed carport beside a service station in China Grove and operated there until 1999. ASE then relocated to Kannapolis where it is today. All along, ASE has been a well established provider and installer of electronic equipment for law enforcement, emergency, utility, and transit vehicles. ASE has worked with virtually every Police and Sheriff's departments within 100 miles which includes over 100 departments. In 2007, ASE added a new dimention which has made us International.
ASE started installing video systems in school buses, then GPS systems, and other systems. ASE has completed installs on thousands of buses.
