Kannapolis City Schools like most school systems are looking for video monitoring, 2-way communication, GPS tracking and any other current technology that will improve our students' safety in their rides to and from school. In years past we have moved from company to company for the installation and upkeep of of our safety technology with less than stellar results. We started purchasing cell phone batteries from a local company which turned out to be ASE.
Not long after that we found out that ASE took care of video for the Kannapolis Police Department and that begin a great relationship with ASE Communications. Currently ASE installs and maintains our AngelTrax video systems, our aftermarket child safety alarms and our repeater based 2-way communication.
We also purchase the aftermarket child safety alarms, the in bus and handheld 2-way communication equipment from ASE because of their competitive pricing. ASE also provides 2-way communication equipment with service inside of our schools. In the future we will be able to directly purchase the AngelTrax video systems from ASE too. Even though we currently do not have GPS tracking (due to the high cost of equipment), when we did ASE maintained and serviced those units.
The owner (Scott Thomas) works right along with his staff installing and servicing so you know when you are discussing an issue with Scott that the info he is giving you is from experience. It is obvious that ASE Communications conduct itself with a Christian based moral compass which in this day and time is not always what you find."

Two Way Radio of Carolina has been in business since 1956, and we have never seen a company that can respond so efficiently with all the man power needed for a project then ASE Communications. ASE always brings a very high level of integrity, amazing speeds, and quality in their workmanship to ensure when our projects were complete - they were fully successful!
One amazing example was our Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools Transportation project that required 1700+ radios to be installed from a late June startup date through a near impossible mid-August school bus rollout deadline. ASE brought their expertise to this project, and they completed the project AHEAD of the deadline!!! " ASE Communications is the ONLY company that I will allow to install radios for the Catawba County EMS. They are always right on time, their installs are clean and professional, and they're a lot of fun to work with.
When we went 800 MHz a few years ago, ASE came in and refitted 24 ambulances with new mobile radios. They were challenged by the different ambulance configurations spanning 10 years but they consistently got our radios installed and working efficiently and professionally.
We were especially impressed with the fact that ASE would fix any electrical problems that he found such as sloppy wiring from other installers, blown fuses, components that hadn't worked in years, and generalized cleaning up and "making pretty" of wiring that had been used but forgotten about for years.
ASE can make ANY situation work–when faced with putting light bars and emergency lights on one of our QRV's that wasn't configured for emergency lights, he figured out a way to make it happen PLUS he installed three bands of radios in the vehicle in the same day.
Prospective clients of ASE should look no further.......ASE is the best at what they do and everyone else is just second rate."

"When I became the Animal Control Supervisor for Rowan County in May of 1996, I had no idea what company to use to install strobe lights, county seals and Animal Control lettering on our existing and new trucks. I was told by the Rowan County Sheriff's Office that Scott Thomas and ASE in Kannapolis does their work on their patrol cars and do a very good job.
Boy, were they ever right. For the past 16 years, I have used ASE and will ONLY use ASE. They have always done an excellent job for me. I have traveled all over the state in my Animal Control truck and I have received so many compliments from fellow Animal Control Directors on how good my truck looks and when they ask who I use, I proudly say, ASE out of Kannapolis, NC.
I work with many vendors in my line of work and I can honestly say that Scott and Salena have always been extremely friendly, professional and some of the finest people I have ever met.
