ASE was started in August of 1994 primarily doing turn key Police cars and other emergency vehicles such as Fire trucks and Ambulances. ASE started doing buses in 2007. Since June of 2007, we have done thousands of buses including video systems, GPS, card readers,2 way radios, Fuel Master Aim 2 units, MDT's and Child Checkmate systems.
ASE works directly with the manufacturers of many of the systems on every project. We have crews that go out based on the schedule of the buses which is usually evenings or weekends to make the installation process go quickly and smoothly. This has brought many new customers and locations that have covered NC, SC, GA, TX, IL, IA, OH, MO, LA, CA, VA, WV, NJ, MD, RI, WA, KS, UT, OK, CO, PA, DC, AK, FL, TN, AL, AR, MN, WI, NY, WY, MI, ND, DE, NV, and even in Canada and South Africa. Needless to say, we will travel to your location.
School buses have been the main focus for these video systems, but now the transportation industry such as the New York Transit Authority, Charlotte Douglas Airport, Rhode Island Public Transit Authority, in addition to other city transit systems and airports across the country has shown a great demand also.
We equipped all of the Air Trains and Shuttle Buses at the San Francisco airport with video systems and LIVE STREAMING VIDEO and AUDIO in May.
At ASE, we have completed over 4000 installations just this summer! We did installations on all the school buses in the 2 largest counties in North Carolina which is Mecklinburg county and Wake county at the same time and met all deadlines 3 weeks ahead of schedule! Also within this period, we did installations in Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, South Carolina, and for our regular North Carolina customers.
We also offer a service that has been long past due which is checking out complete fleets of buses with existing video systems to ensure that everything is working correctly. We check the recorder to make sure that it is recording, programmed correctly, time and date correct, all triggers work, we also check the camera's to make sure they are clear and adjusted for the best view. We just finished checking over 350 buses for a local school and found over 60 systems not working correctly. The cost for this starts at $15.00 per bus. We also can check out your GPS systems, 2 Way radios, Child left behind systems, etc making sure that all are working correctly.
Another service we started in 2010 is providing and installing the Child Checkmate systems. This is the system that includes the button at the rear of the bus that the driver has to push to keep the horn and alarm from going off. This ensures that the bus driver goes to the rear of the bus before exiting the bus and hopefully seeing any students that may have fallen asleep.
ASE has been a valuable partner to bus dealerships by taking care of the installations of their large quantity needs. We have found that most dealerships don't have the personnel or time to do large amounts of installs and we have also found that some dealerships have NO desire to do them at all. ASE can be an extension of your dealership by wearing your company shirts if you desire and ASE will never try to contact your customer direct without your permission.
